Along with other members of Concert Choir and Wind Ensemble at SIUC, I will be traveling to Dublin, Ireland in May 2012 to participate in “An Original Theatre Concert Project”. (So original, in fact, that we’re not even certain how it will turn out at this point! – but it will be incredible.)

Here’s the fun part: I have to pay my own way, and I need to raise about $3,500.

As most of you know, I have two CDs of original music currently for sale (as well as a single available on iTunes). If you wish to show your support, please order as many copies as you like here. I know it’s been quite a while since my last post, but I just wanted to share the loveliness that the album is finished! recording, and it’s all about the graphic design now. We’re shooting for dropping the CD in early March, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears ready to rock!

On a semi-unrelated note, I am currently freaking out about my upcoming vocal audition for Southern Illinois Uni @ Carbondale. It’s on President’s Day, and I’ve only had a few weeks to prepare… yipes! (I’ll let you know how all that goes, haha.)

Today I played at the soft opening of a new Potbelly Sandwich Works — official opening is tomorrow 11/16 in Oak Park, IL. I love this place! The atmosphere is great, the people are even greater, and you know the food is incredible.

On an even bigger, brighter, better note, I look forward to playing at said Potbelly relatively consistently. That’s right, folks! What better way to spend the afternoons than to enjoy great food and great music? More details will be posted soon as to times and days I will be at Potbelly. So stop in and have lunch, and we shall make beautiful music together!

Just wanted to give you all yet another update: Recording of the new album is still moving along swimmingly, and though it won’t come out in fall (since we’re now moving into winter), you can definitely rest assured it will be out before the year is over.

Though it’s been said a million times over, I really am immensely appreciative of all the support and encouragement I receive from you all every day. I couldn’t be here without you!

To make things even more marvelous, I just finished recording the title track this morning! We are officially halfway done with this beautiful, insane project. (Hahaha)

It is seriously so cool to watch the things come out of my head and into reality. For seriousness.

Almost half-way finished with the new album! Woo!!! So exciting.

The working title “Falling for Life” is the official title now!

Three out of twelve tracks are recorded, mixed, mastered, and ready! to! go!

I’m super excited about how well all this is going, and how swiftly things have been moving along. I won’t jinx myself (hopefully), so we’re still not setting any release dates, just that the tentative season is Autumn/Winter 2010.
